Our "Olde Carlsbad" project located on Lee Court was a breath of fresh air! I consulted with my clients about three years ago on their interior renovation they wanted to do. They reached out again when it was time to tackle the front & exterior yard. John and I started this project about two months before he passed. My clients couldn't have been more patient and kind during this difficult time. I stared with the initial concept by having renderings done for my clients showing my vision, once they approved we got started right away.
We added block wall around the front court yard, with platers, drip lines, and uplighting. We used artobrick on the patio's front court yard and the back sitting area, this custom tile had a long lead time but was so worth it! Hardscape included block walls, patios, new trash enclosure, new driveway, built-in BBQ area, garden, new steps up-to the back sitting area. Once the hardscape was completed we added so many wonderful plants, and my favorite crushed gravel. The absolute cherry on top was two 65 year old olive trees placed flanking the driveway, my clients named them John & Shirley bittersweet.
